We chose Jessica to sell our house because she had recently done a few transactions in our neighbourhood and we heard good things about her. We were trying to sell the house with a newborn in our lives, so our time to dedicate to the selling process was limited. We wanted someone who could work with us given the circumstances, and are happy to have chosen Jessica.
From the get go she was well prepared, coming to our house with 2 days notice with a CMA and a full presentation. Once we signed with her, she offered detailed advise on what kind of cleanup / changes are needed for the house in preparation for showing, and helped with booking services needed; her stager and photographers were also top notch. Moreover, she was always very responsive: My wife and and I are busy people plus the baby, so a lot of our communications with Jessica were in the evenings and sometimes later into the evening. Despite that, she was always very responsive.
Unfortunately our house ended up getting listed right after the interest rate announcement where we saw buyer demand shift significantly, and we didn’t end up selling for our expected price. However, those are circumstances outside of her control, and we do think that she had our best interest in mind, did her best to market the house, and build relationship with buyers. For example, she held several more open houses for us than our contract specified and we really appreciate that.
Jessica continue to impress us after the sale was done:
1. From a buyer visit, the buyers had asked for weeds in the backyard to be removed and a few things to be fixed around the house. We had already moved 1.5h away (plus we have a baby) so it was difficult for us to handle this. To help us, Jessica brought her crew and helped to clean up the backyard as well as inside the house which we were totally not expecting and are very very appreciative of.
2. Jessica seems to also care a lot about the buyers experience. For closing, she asked us to provide the buyers with information like how to transfer some smart devices, mailbox location, garbage collection days, etc. we’ve bought a few houses at this point and have NEVER been provided any of this information, so props to Jessica for trying to ensure that the buyers also have a good experience.
